Our everyday commitments to earth-friendly, sustainable skincare.

1. Glass packaging

We use recyclable glass bottles and jars that you can return to us to be sanitized and re-used in our production. They can also be re-purposed as containers to hold hair ties, seeds for your garden, jars for dips in lunches- the possibilities are endless! We love seeing how our customers are re-using their jars creatively.

2. Avoiding at-risk herbs/ oils

We are often shocked at how many face and body care companies still use essential oils like Indian Sandalwood and Rosewood, both of which have been terribly over-harvested and are considered to be at-risk. We care deeply about the well-being of the natural world and acknowledge our responsibility to be stewards of the earth. We have committed to never using at-risk natural ingredients in our products. Instead, we choose organically grown, ethically harvested botanical ingredients from trustworthy suppliers.

3. Organic Ingredients

We use organic ingredients as much as possible to minimize the impact of harmful chemicals on the soil and its organisms and on our skin. We seek out only the purest, organic or sustainably wild-crafted botanical ingredients.

4. Sourcing Locally

We choose to support small local herb growers and suppliers to minimize the environmental footprint of transporting herbs from far away lands. We love to support the local farmers who grow vibrant medicinal herbs for us and we vote for that with our dollars because we want to see more of that in our world!

5. Recycled packaging

We use paper packaging to ship orders, except for the odd piece of bubble wrap which is re-used from our ingredient suppliers. We don’t let any piece of bubble wrap go to waste and make sure it is re-used in packaging orders.

6. Bulk refill sizes

A growing selection of our products are available to retailers so that you can re-fill your existing containers!
